"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller
Chief Optometrist
Mann D. Trinh, O.D., F.A.A.O, or “Dr. Tim” as his patients call him, received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry at UCLA in 2003 and a Doctorate in Optometry at UC Berkeley in 2007. He completed an additional optional year of residency in ocular disease at the Fresno Veterans Affairs Hospital and is one of the few O.D.'s to have taken and passed the board examination for Advanced Competency in Medical Optometry. Dr. Trinh is the founder of All EyeCare Optometry in August of 2010.
Dr. Trinh was the recipient of the prestigious California Optometric Association’s George I. Dean Leadership Award in 2007. Dr. Trinh was appointed a Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) at the Academy’s annual meeting in San Francisco in 2010. It is an honor held by only ten percent of practicing optometrists. Founded in 1922, the Academy’s mission is to promote the art and science of vision care through lifelong learning. Academy Fellows are held to the highest ethical and professional standards of practice. Recently, Dr. Trinh has passed the American Board of Optometry's Board Certification examination on January 2013 and is one of the only board certified optometrists in Ventura County.
In addition to routine comprehensive examinations, Dr. Trinh's practice emphasis is management of chronic dry eye diseases, post surgical specialty contact lens fittings, prosthetic corneal lenses for keratoconus and other corneal diseases. He is also a member of the Orthokeratology Academy of America specializing in the fitting of corneal molds for nearsightedness and astigmatism for nearsightedness control in children.
A strong believer that a medical professional's responsibilities should not end with the office, Dr. Trinh volunteers his time to youth programs such as the annual Homer Dickerson Youth Ethics Conference and Newbury Park High School Career Days. He has had several high school interns interested in the field of optometry shadow and work at the office as they learn about the profession. He is proud that several of them have graduated and moved forward to attending their dream colleges and are on their way of pursuing the profession. He is the founder of the annual University of California Optometric Student Association Scholarship.
